Information for international exchange students

Application

Before you are able to submit an application for a study exchange at Mainz Catholic University of Applied Sciences, your own university must register you with us. We confirm your registration by email and ask you to submit your complete application documents to us, comprising

Registration form
• Proof of your health insurance
• Copy of your passport (official ID or passport)
• CV with photo (German or English)

Application deadlines

The application deadline for exchange students is the

15th June (for semester 1 / winter semester) or

15th December (for semester 2 / summer semester)

Later applications are also possible. In this case, please send an inquiry to the email address provided above. You can find information about the academic year at the Mainz Catholic University here.

Enrolment and semester fee

Enrolment takes place after arrival in Mainz on the induction day. All students (German and international) are required to pay a semester fee at this time, which is expected to be €330 (winter semester 2017/2018).

The semester fee is a contribution to cover the costs of social care, as well as the free semester ticket covering the use of public transport in the Rhine-Main region throughout the semester. This is not a course fee.
