Course contents and objectives

The Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare and Nursing - Speech Therapy is intended to enable graduates to deliver quality-assured therapies that are oriented towards the patient. The course prepares the students for the planning, execution and evaluation of evidence-based - i.e. scientifically proven - interventions.

Starting with scientific working methods and evidence-based approaches, the students learn how to respond to practice-relevant questions. The preferences of the patients, the personal treatment expertise and the scientific evidence are consolidated within this framework. In order to adopt a resource-oriented approach, prevention concepts and interdisciplinary methods are also examined and formulated.

It is possible to focus on various areas on an in-depth basis by choosing one of the three compulsory elective areas of clinical expertise, management or education.
