The dual Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare and Nursing is aimed at students or members of the midwifery, speech therapy, nursing and physiotherapy professions. It leads to a professional qualification and a first academic degree, the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.). It aims to impart scientific foundations and methodical expertise and results in a professional qualification.
The Bachelor’s degree consists of two study phases. The first phase of the course is offered with integrated training in cooperation with contractually associated partner schools. The course generally begins once the first 6 months of training have been successfully completed, and ends with two scheduled professional examinations.
The second course phase encompasses three semesters and is undertaken at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences Mainz as a full-time attendance course.
Within the framework of the Bachelor’s course in Healthcare and Nursing, students acquire a total of 180 ECTS credits.
The course is offered annually to a total of 145 students, commencing in the summer semester. No course fees are charged. The course places are awarded based on a points scale.
