The Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare and Nursing with a professional focus on physiotherapy is divided up into two course phases. The first phase of the course is offered interlinked with vocational training. The lessons at the Mainz Catholic University of Applied Sciences are organised in the first stage of the course as block sessions.
During the first course phase, the vocational training contents are examined on a more in-depth basis and are expanded to include e.g. physiotherapeutic qualifications in a range of different treatment fields, as well as an introduction to the reference disciplines (e.g. education, economics, ethics and psychology).
In the second stage of the course, lessons start in the compulsory elective areas (clinical expertise, management and education). Furthermore, vocation-specific course contents are also taught, e.g. physiotherapy as an application-oriented science or framework conditions and action fields of physiotherapy.
