Languages

In the foundation stage of the degree and in both the fields of study concerned with communicating subject knowledge about “social sciences” and “migration and integration”, approximately half will be taught in German and half in English. For this reason appropriate levels of German and English are a precondition for being admitted ⇒ evidence of language ability

During your studies you will be spending two years acquiring a third language, without needing to pay. We offer at the present moment courses in Arabic, French and Spanish and are able to inform you of courses being offered for other languages.

In this way you should be increasingly well practised in also being able to conduct discussions in English as well as systematically moving beyond that to broaden and sharpen your knowledge of foreign languages, not least of all in order to build as strong a foundation as possible for engaging in theoretical and practical exchanges during your year abroad.
