Bachelor’s or master’s courses

To study at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, you need a university entrance qualification. If this was obtained abroad, it must first be reviewed for equivalency with the German university entrance qualification. Use the DAAD admissions database to check in advance and without any obligations whether you meet the requirements for your desired course of study in Germany.

Procedure for applicants with a foreign university entrance qualification

All applicants with a university entrance qualification obtained neither in Germany nor at a school abroad using the German Abitur curriculum (e.g. A Levels, high school diploma, baccalaureate etc.) must submit a ⇒ preliminary review documentation from uni-assist along with their application.

If your university entrance qualification is considered equivalent to the German one and if you have demonstrated a sufficient level of German language proficiency (Bachelor B2/ Master C1), you are accepted for the university admissions process.

  • Students from partner universities who wish to study at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in Mainz as part of an exchange programme.
  • Applicants who successfully completed the assessment test (“Feststellungsprüfung”) of a preparatory college (“Studienkolleg”) and can present official recognition of their foreign educational qualifications including an average grade.
  • Applicants who can already present official recognition of their foreign educational qualifications including an average grade.
