Study places / NC: There is no restricted admission (NC) at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences Mainz. However, study places are limited. Places are allocated according to a points system.
Costs: There are no tuition fees for this degree programme. As at any university, only a semester fee is payable for the semester ticket and other services.
Admission requirements:
› Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree in health and nursing with a focus on Education at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences Mainz or a comparable degree (recommended final grade of at least 2.0)
› Completed 3-year vocational training in physiotherapy, nursing or speech therapy.
› Required language level: C1 (certified proof is required for applicants from abroad). The courses are held in German.
Building on the knowledge you acquired in the Bachelor's degree, the course programme opens up further areas of educational science, including special research concepts and the entire field of school development. You will also learn more about ethical, psychological-social science, legal and health science aspects. To enhance the practical relevance, an internship is an element of the degree course after the second semester.
